Ohio Citizen Advocates for Chemical Dependency Prevention and Treatment
The mission of Ohio Citizen Advocates for Chemical Dependency Prevention and Treatment is to eliminate the stigma and discrimination associated with alcohol and other drug addiction by: educating the public that alcohol and other drug addiction is a preventable, treatable medical illness; reducing barriers to treatment; and advocating for a system of care that supports a continuum of effective alcohol and other drug services.

Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities
The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities (OACBHA) is the statewide organization that represents the interests of all of Ohio's county Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Boards at the state level. The Association works with a variety of governmental bodies including the Ohio General Assembly, the Office of the Governor, the Ohio Department of Mental Health, the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, and other organizations and coalitions to seek support for initiatives that will help expand and enhance mental health and substance abuse prevention, treatment and support services. Ohio Department of Mental Health
Ohio's public mental health system includes the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH), 50 county and multi-county boards, and nearly 500 community mental health agencies. The boards, which in most cases oversee both mental health and addiction services, do not directly provide services. They act as local mental health authorities, funding, planning, monitoring and purchasing services provided by private agencies and the Behavioral Healthcare Organizations (BHOs) operated by ODMH. This approach, which emphasizes local management and control, generates strong citizen involvement and local financial support for mental health services.

OHIOCARES

Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board
The Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCDP Board) is a 13-member board, of which 12 members are appointed by the Governor. The 13th member is a designee from ODADAS who will serve as an ex-officio member. Members consist of four individuals eligible for the LICDC, two individuals eligible for the LCDC III, one individual eligible for the LCDC II, two individuals certified in prevention as an OCPS I or II, one doctor authorized to practice medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and surgery and has experience practicing in a field related to chemical dependency counseling, and two members of the general public.
