During 2006 and 2007, a group of Northeast Ohio Providers met in order to develop a specific program and became known as the Ohio Chemical Dependency Legislative Advocacy Group with the intent of supporting policies that give patients access to mandated benefits in a full continuum of treatment services. In the fall of 2007, this group, along with others from across the state, organized into the Ohio Alliance of Recovery Providers. Throughout 2007, 2008 and 2009, OARP has doubled membership. As a trade group, solely organized for addiction and prevention providers in the state, we continue to address our main goals of: increasing access to treatment; seeking additional funding resources; and providing a unified voice for the addiction and recovery providers to ODADAS, the legislators, and the residents of Ohio. OARP is not-for-profit organization, with representation to its board of directors being the executive from each member agency. Breaking News
